If true, this is the first time Lennon has said anything since he was shot dead by Mark Chapman on the 8th of December 1980.

Thomas Dolby had hits with "She Blinded Me With Science" and "Hyperactive" back in the '80s and then vanished - apparently, in order to pursue a career in state-of-the art electronics. Now, at last, Dolby has returned to music - he's currently touring in the USA and will also perform at the Wireless Festival in London's Hyde Park in June. + 9 - 2 | § Dallas Goes Bollywood!

The British director of a Bollywood version of Pride and Prejudice (called Bride and Prejudice) would hardly seem like the obvious choice to bring the ultimate '80s US soap opera, Dallas, to the big screen. But that is, in fact, the latest twist in the long-running Dallas movie saga. Gurinder Chadha, whose best known film to date is Bend It Like Beckham is now said to be almost certain to be the director of the Dallas movie being produced by 20th Century Fox and (as we previously reported) starring John Travolta as the villainous oil tycoon, J. R. Ewing...

Gene Pitney has been found dead in his hotel room in Cardiff, mid-way through his UK tour. Pitney had a string of hit records in the '60s such as Twenty Four Hours From Tulsa, I'm Gonna Be Strong and Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart - this last song being a hit all over again when Pitney recorded it as a duet in 1989 with Marc Almond. Pitney was 65 and is not known to have been suffering from an illness prior to his death.
