18 12 07 130 W - + 9 - 1 Faggots Off The Menu For The Pogues

...not to mention Kirsty McColl.

In a truly bizarre twist of events, the UK’s top radio pop station, Radio One, has decided to censor the 1987 hit from Kirsty McColl and The Pogues, Fairytale of New York.

In spite of the song being a hit (uncensored) in the ‘80s, modern sensitivities apparently dictate that the words, "you scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy faggot" are too much for a modern audience to take!

Bah, humbug, say I!

I grew up with faggots (a tasty meatball traditionally served with mushy peas) and I demand the right to hear the unexpurgated version of the song. Take a stand against censorship and watch the original, faggot and all....
