When I first met Limahl in 1983 I asked him to make a list of his top ten favourite records. When I contacted him again recently I asked him to do the same thing all over again. Interestingly enough, not a single one of the records he picked in the '80s is on his Top Ten list today! See for yourself!

Interesting that Limahl’s choices in 2006 are so different compared to 1983 yet I remember him appearing on a radio one show in 1983 where he had to pick his top 10, and a few of those 2006 choices were actually in that list. Ain’t No Mountain, Just My Imagination, possibly Betcha By Golly, and Laughter in the Rain, also State of Independance which is the only song which Limahl has consistently chosen every time. Looks to me like the 1983 list from here were very much lead by Limahl’s enjoyment of the current music scene at the time.

Well, I guess we all have more than ten favourite songs, really, so it’s probably not too surprising that Limahl’s Top 10 changes with his mood. Glad you enjoyed the interview. Maybe we can get Limahl to do something else for us at a later date…? :-)
