Hasselhoff has just been recruited as a critic on a new Cowell-run show called America's Got Talent. Hasselhoff became an international star on the basis of the 1989 series, Baywatch, which - in various forms, ran throughout the '90s and finally got the chop in 2001. Before that he starred in the cult '80s series Knight Rider ('82 to '86). In 1985 he released an album, Night Rocker, and has pursued a mixed career in singing and acting ever since.
